THE DANGERS OF TAKING VENGEANCE AGAINST OTHERS
When you feel wounded by someone you will often feel hurt, betrayed and be tempted to take an offense. Luke 17:1 “Then Jesus said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!” Demons will then speak to your thoughts causing you to feel rejected and victimized and then many become very angry and develop a hatred which causes them to sin as they want to take retribution on those they hate instead of allowing God to handle it.
Romans 12:19 “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.”
Ephesians 4:26-27 “Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.” Then your demons will tell you that you were a victim and torment your emotions with feelings of hurt and blinding you to desire revenge and develop an extreme hatred.
Jeremiah 17:5 “Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord.” Your soul (mind, will and emotions) then becomes infected with hatred and demons causing you to be blinded (1 John 2:9-11) and allowing a root of bitterness to grow inside of you.
Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJV
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” and demons will then take you over.
Then you will go into the very dangerous mode of vengeance which often develops into extreme rage, jealousy, bitterness and sin with no peace. You behave in ways that are crazy, compelling you to hyper focus on wanting to pay back your perceived violator, consuming you with hatred and causing you to lie, twisting truth and waste much time and money. You then become the offender and an abuser as demons take you over and can cause you to have murderous thoughts due to your inability to forgive like Jesus said (Matthew 18:21-35) and then your sins will not be forgiven. God will then come against you due to your evil ways and protect those that you attack, especially those who are actually righteous that you hate.
It can cause you sickness, major financial losses and even an early death and eternity in hell. I know of one woman whose house burned down due to her pride and vengeance as she had her own hidden infidelity and sin. Others died of cancer who were filled with hatred. I Peter 3:12 “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
1 John 3:15 “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him”
Many then become like Jezebel, lying, slandering, plotting and speaking vicious curses against godly people and then God eventually has to intervene and many become sick, get diseases and can die an early death because of their evil actions and works.
Revelation 2:21-23
“And I gave her (Jezebel) time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.”
Saul went out of his mind and tried to take vengeance against David whom he was jealous of, who did nothing to Saul, and ultimately Saul killed himself after consulting a woman who was into witchcraft. So forgive and give your anger to the Lord. Trust in the Lord and not yourself. Things turned out well for Daniel as well as Joseph.
