The Lord spoke to me about the importance of having our closest friends being a part of the bride (God’s remnant) instead of the world due to their influence over our lives. He explained that having just one friend who would speak into your life words that are opposite of God could have a major damaging affect that could infect you for eternity. So many people are in fear because of what is happening in the world and if you get your advice from a person who is hearing from demons acting like they are a Christian then you could agree with them and then have very negative effects that could get you to compromise on your godly principles.
Just like a virus that can be spread from one person to infect another…people who are hearing from demons will try to infect those who are of the Lord to get them to go down a path that will not go well for them and take them away from Christ. It could be something as simple as watching a TV show or movie that is encouraging people who are homosexual or sexually perverse or has a lot of cursing and violence. Once you watch the show the enemy will bring the video and words back to your memory sometimes hundreds of times or more causing you to act upon what you had viewed or heard. This grieves the Holy Spirit and causes you to accept other perverse behaviors that pull you away from the pure and spotless bride that Christ is returning for. A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough to ruin it.
This is why you need to pray about which friends to keep in your life and which to say goodbye to. Late last year the Lord took me through a Facebook cleansing where many who were not godly and had many demons left and it was a very good thing as there was much less enemy chatter that I had to deal with as the purification process occurred. Many have way too many friends that they don’t know who are filled with demons and are trying to hurt you and you don’t even have a clue. Unless they manifest on you via social media or privately you could be connected to witches, warlocks and others who want to smear your reputation and stop you from God’s calling and it takes just a little opening of the door to have them start speaking into your life.
In my ministry Restored to Freedom, we try to help people who are influenced by demons in their thoughts to get delivered through a simple message of forgiveness, humility and repentance. It’s everything that Jesus told us to do. But it is amazing to me how many who would call themselves “Christians” who have such anger, hatred and vitriol at me and the ministry for trying to help them get set free of their wounds from their past. If they would only choose to forgive others who hurt them, repent for their pride and sin, then they would be able to enjoy a much healthier and more enjoyable life.
So just reflect upon those you have as your friends both on social media and those you talk to in the flesh. How many are truly the remnant bride and how many are not? If you have few that are sold out to Christ and have the fruit of the Spirit – then you will be infected by the demons of your friends of the world. If they are not sold out for Christ but are fully involved with the world – then you are at risk to walk in the same worldly ways as your worldly friends and will befall the same negative results that they do. They could even have a ministry but be filled with pride and jealousy and give you bad advice under the guise of calling it godly wisdom. The enemy deceives so many people. Many who are not of God but are pretending to be – have their assignment to stop God’s people from doing their assignment. That is why you must be discerning who is close to God’s remnant and who are not and those who are not do not have them as close friends.

Shun Evil Counsel

Avoid Divisive Persons
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

Christ Brings Division
49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
Discern the Time
54 Then He also said to the multitudes, “Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. 55 And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is. 56 Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?

You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
So now more than ever it is important to truly know your friends and their beliefs and make sure that they align with Christ in every way. All it takes is one friend whose demons attack you in your thoughts to cause you to get off course and then you will get attacked more than ever when coming into agreement with them. So pray about your current friends and let the Holy Spirit show you who are good to be included as a part of your inner circle and who should be kept at a safe distance and who should be blocked completely. If you have a person who is into witchcraft who has access to you on social media – then they can send curses your way because you have given them access to you. It is the same principle if a witch gives you a gift that they have cursed (jewelry, clothes, books, Bible, etc.)
Jesus talked about the importance of pursuing Him with all our hearts and minds and being approved worthy to become the bride of Christ and the remnant and not just showing up at church acting like you are a Christian. There are many who attend church who do not have godly fruit to show whatsoever and will not make it into heaven.
Matthew 25:31-46 NKJV
The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
The enemy wants to waste your valuable time and will use your friends to do it. They will cause you to have strife and argue with you or give you bad advice that will hurt you. Why would you listen to a person with demons lie to you or give you bad advice? All it takes is one sentence to cause you to lose your peace and get in fear or make a bad decision. And just because you may have many mutual friends on Facebook together does not guarantee that they are safe. I know of a witch on Facebook who interviews many prophets regularly and they allow themselves to be in contact with her so are part of the problem of deceiving people. She curses people who learn she is a witch and then deceives more people acting like she knows more than other people and posts things of anger and violence as she has a strong prideful spirit. The enemy is sly and can deceive the very best of us.
Once you have realized that your friend is of the enemy – then don’t waste time on them anymore nor get into a battle of words with them as that is what the enemy wants to do to you. It is time to evaluate your friends and get rid of the goats and add more remnant sheep to your friend list. Purify, sanctify, consecrate, pull away, and seek out the bride of Christ. You can never have enough friends who are truly a part of His remnant. I was attending a church in Fort Wayne, IN yesterday morning and a man received a word from the Lord and spoke it out from the front. It talked about consecrating ourselves to become a pure golden vessel for Jesus. That is what the Lord is doing – looking for His remnant within the church of true godly believers whose fruit matches the Bible. So we are not giving up on all our friends who are goats – we are giving them up to God to try to get through to them so the demons within them don’t waste our time or tempt us to get off course from our assignment in Christ. Make sure your friends are of the same fruit the Bible talks about (love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) and not of the world.
