Let no words of complaint come out of your mouth

Do you know of anyone that complains often about other people, their circumstances or life in general?  What does it feel like to be the recipient of those words of complaint?  Do you feel like you just got slimed and your joy has turned to sadness? So many people in this world (Christians included) complain about everything and when the words are spoken, the enemy has the right to taint all that are within earshot.

So what does the Bible say about complaining?  Does it improve your life when expressing your frustrations to others?  Do you feel like you got a weight lifted off your shoulders, or do you feel just as heavy and clouded as ever? Unfortunately we are called to never complain about anything, to anyone, but rather to give all our cares of this world to the Lord.  Suffering as unto the Lord will be honored by God, as long as we do not complain along the way, or else you could stay in that season a whole lot longer than you bargained for.  Think about the Israelites and how much they complained after the Lord rescued them from the Egyptians as they had to wander in the hot desert until they all died over 40 years.

Phillipians 2:14 says “Do all things without grumbling or questioning.” Ephesians 4:29 states “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”  James 5:9 says “Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.” And Numbers 11:1 states “And the people complained in the hearing of the Lord about their misfortunes, and when the Lord heart it, His anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp.”

We are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  This means that we are to change from the ways of the world to the mind of Christ.  Did Christ ever murmur and complain about his situation to anyone?  No.  Therefore we are never to complain about our situations.  The Lord asked me to endure an extreme tribulation unto Him for over 6 years.  He told me that I was going to take some extreme abuse, but I would be required to suffer in silence as I could not tell a single person on earth.  Only He was to know about it.  So i did as He instructed.  It was extremely hard, as I was controlled, manipulated, abused  emotionally for hours each day and at times even physically and sexually hurt.  But the Lord told me that hundreds of thousands of people around the world would ultimately be affected positively for my sacrifice.

So I endured it and said nothing to anyone.  Not my children, my family, my closest friends had an idea of the extreme abuse that I was going through. But with the extreme cost of my sacrifice, came an extreme anointing which has made it all worth it in the end as countless thousands around the world are now getting freed from the hardest spirits on earth (Jezebel and Leviathan). Had I not listened to the Lord and complained along the way to others, the anointing that I now walk in would not have occurred.  So many people in church are constant complainers that are never seeing breakthroughs in their lives due to their mouths.

So what do you do?  You take it for the Lord.  You keep your mouth shut.  You trust in the Lord through the season of sacrifice.  It is a process, which if you go through and endure, will ultimately change you into walking more like Christ.  Loving others like Christ comes with a price.  The more extreme your sacrifice, the more extreme your anointing from the Lord can be.  But you simply cannot complain to others in your family, life or beyond, or the enemy gets the glory instead of God.  What good is it if everyone knows what you are suffering?  Much better to be silent and be rewarded by God than to have every human know what you are going through and stay in your desert season for 40 years.

So just say no to the enemy when you feel like complaining about something in your life.  Bite your tongue, and only speak life over your situation.  Let’s change this world by starting with you. One person at a time.
