THE CHURCH HAS LOST IT’S HEALTHY FEAR OF THE LORD

“But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God’s grace has been trampled on by people in the church who are choosing to live sin-filled lives while acting like they are godly on social media or in front of the church. Grace allows us time to get our soul wounds healed, forgive others who have hurt us, repent for pride and sin and then to live holy lives according to the Bible. When we refuse to repent and continue to live in selfish, sexually impure, ungodly, prideful & rebellious lifestyles after we know the truth then we harden our hearts to the Lord and allow Satan and his demons legal rights to access us. There are so many people who have attended church for years yet only have fruit of the flesh; sexual impurity, selfishness, jealousy, lies, gossip, idolatry, sorcery, anger, wrath, bitterness, pride, corruptness, etc.

I know of a man who was very gifted prophetically yet was living a life of sexual impurity, drunkenness and corruptness behind closed doors who was repeatedly given chances to repent and change by the Lord. The man refused to change. So the Lord took his life early from him. There are more people who are seeing their lives end suddenly after living a double life with no remorse.

It is time for those who call themselves believers to actually have the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) and walk in humility and sexual purity. You can fool some people but you cannot fool the Lord. We need to have a healthy fear of the Lord.

Soul wound healing and deliverance needs to be pursued by church leaders and those who call themselves believers alike. We cannot continue to live lives full of sin and expect to continue to get away with it. Sin has consequences. Sin should be rare in a true believers life with the evidence of the fruit of the spirit.

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭26‬-‭31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
