THE TESTING OF OUR FAITH IS UNDERWAY – WILL YOU PROVE WORTHY?

Everyone in the world is now being tested – especially those who call themselves Christians. The age where we used to simply be able to show up at church on Sunday mornings and act like we were Christians – engage with a few people and be nice to them, drink some coffee and eat a donut or bagel, sing some songs and hear a nice 40-minute message making us feel good and then go home and live like the world the rest of the week is now over. Our mettle is being tested – as God is watching to see if we have any faith to trust Him and choose to serve Him completely in the face of an uproar or if we are all scared like the world and willing to bow down to our local and state governments like everyone else is doing.

It is not easy standing up for Jesus when the rest of the world is afraid, angry, yelling, rioting, in your face and behaving crazy and threatening you. It is not easy when those who are not of the Lord raise their voice, fighting with you on social media (time to block!), threatening to come to your address and burning your home down and shooting you and making you cower in fear. It is much easier to submit like the masses are doing to the bad people so you don’t have to deal with the uncomfortableness of taking a stand for Christ. It is much easier to look the other way when babies are being killed at abortion clinics if they are not in your neighborhood. It is much safer to allow those who yell the loudest and threaten you to get their way – even when we know what they are doing goes completely against the Lord. It is so much easier to trust our current employer to provide money for us even when we have to abandon our godly principles to accept their policies that are against Jesus, and for lifestyles that are sinful and evil. It is so much less controversial to simply accept huge organizations pouring money into other organizations that promote sex trafficking, pornography, pedophilia, homosexuality and transgender instead of standing up and saying no. It is so much easier to attend a local church who waters down their messages to milk and never confronts people who are living in sin every day and allowing people into leadership who live lives contrary to the Bible and are leading their people to hell instead of heaven. It is so much easier to go along with all the angry and deceived people who would vilify President Trump standing alone to try to protect godly values and principles in America and the world. Apathy in the church is at an all-time high.

The heat is being turned up on everyone who would call themselves a Christian to prove to the Lord if they are worthy of being a pure and spotless bride or just a part of the mass who attend church who say they are Christian but have no fruit of the Spirit. What churches ever preach on consecrating our lives to Jesus, living a life that is worthy, holiness, righteousness and repentance? Sadly most who attend church are not headed to heaven because their fruit is of the flesh and not of the Spirit. Their hearts and minds are wicked and evil and not godly, loving and pure. They behave more like the people of Sodom and Gomorrah and the corrupt church of Thyatira. Repentance is a dirty word in the church today but is the only thing that will save those in the church from eternal damnation as their fruit is of the flesh as most of the pastors in the church have refused to speak the truth including righteousness, holiness and repentance as they have focused on hyper grace and love messages ignoring the consequences of sin because most of them are sexually impure themselves.

Galatians 5:16-26 NJKV

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

We are now going more through the fire in America like never before. Christians in other countries as well are being pressured and feeling uncomfortable more and more. Let’s read some scriptures in the Bible which will help encourage you about standing up for Jesus and being persecuted by the world (including those who attend churches who have not been delivered from their demons yet):

James 1:2-8 NKJV

Profiting from Trials

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

James 4:4 NKJV

4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV

The Narrow Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Jeremiah 17:5 NKJV

5 Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.

Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJV

14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Revelation 21:7-8 NKJV

7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

1 John 3:4-10 NKJV

Sin and the Child of God

4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

The Imperative of Love

10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

Matthew 5:11-12 NKJV

11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

2 Timothy 3:10-17 NKJV

The Man of God and the Word of God

10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Parable of the Talents

14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

2 Corinthians 11:16-31 NKJV

Reluctant Boasting

16 I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little. 17 What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 18 Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast. 19 For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise! 20 For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face. 21 To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold—I speak foolishly—I am bold also.

Suffering for Christ

22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?
30 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. 31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.

So when you signed up to be a Christian you signed up to be persecuted for Jesus even though you really didn’t want that part of being saved. Stephen was stoned and killed for standing up for Christ. Most of the disciples died as martyrs in horrendous ways. If you are not being persecuted right now… are you a real Christian or are you of the world. So expect to have those with demons (which include plenty of people who attend church) to get mad at you, yell at you, curse you, mock you, laugh at you, be lied about, lose your job, go hungry, lose your car or home, lose your spouse or family, if it costs you everything on earth but you keep your salvation with Christ then it is all worth it in the end. The few who are Christ’s remnant will greatly respect you way more for doing what is right then choosing to cave in to the world and water down your statements, comments and life to be liked giving in to those who are fake Christians in the church who don’t have a backbone and will do whatever the worldly masses do. It’s time to be a mighty man or woman of valor. If you only receive the approval of God – it will be worth it all in the end to hear “Well done,  my good and faithful servant!”
