SINS SEPARATES US FROM GOD

SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD

Sin is a huge issue with Christians in the church today. Most have little to no conviction for sinning and believe God’s gift of grace allows them to live like the world with no consequences in their daily walk or potentially costing them their salvation when they die. They believe they don’t need to be obedient to what is written in the Bible. More than half of all pastors look at porn every month. Jesus said when a man lusts after a woman in his heart that he has committed adultery with her in Matthew 5:27-28. Sin matters. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery to “go and sin no more.”

Many struggle with lust and sexual sin, while others struggle with pride, controlling others, witchcraft, gossiping, slander, anger, fear, bitterness, jealousy, drunkenness, and evil intentions in their hearts and minds.

Even Wikipedia defines “Salvation” as the deliverance of the soul from sin and its consequences.

People don’t want to believe that sin could cost them their salvation and that God would actually expect them to live in accordance with the Bible. Sadly most Christians don’t read the Bible for themselves and instead believe what their pastor preaches which sadly in many cases is not the whole truth or is twisted. So I would recommend you read through the verses below for yourself and see what God expects from a sin perspective.

“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:15-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:7-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:26-31‬ ‭ NKJV‬‬

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So it is very clear that if we continue to have no conscience about sinning and live like the world that there is really nothing in us that is Christlike, no fruit of the spirit but plenty of the flesh. If we continue to practice sinning then we get good at justifying it yet we will not inherit the kingdom of God like it says above.

Forgiving people for hurting us from our hearts, repenting for pride and sin, walking in the fruit of the spirit, sexual purity and humility allows us to be free as demons have no legal rights to affect us. We lose all desire to sin as we want to obey God in all our ways. Sin becomes a rarity in our lives which we ask God for forgiveness of and He forgives us because we forgave others who sinned against us. You can do it. God gave you a freewill. Choose to live in righteousness which leads to life and heaven and not sin which leads to death and hell.
