WHOM WILL YOU SUBMIT TO? THE DEMONS IN YOUR SPOUSE OR JESUS?
There are many Christians who married their spouse believing that they were also a real Christian but discovered after the wedding that they were duped seeing an evil side of them that was never exposed prior to the wedding. This alternate evil personality often manifests in being very controlling, demanding, jealous, insecure and selfish making you submit to them and their demons and creating constant stress and fear which erodes any intimacy to make you submit to making them out of fear and as an idol instead of allowing you to obey God.
The demons in your spouse know how to act like they are the most loving and caring person on the planet to the people at church and in public creating an image that everyone thinks you are so lucky to be married to them. Then when you finally reach out for help your narcissist will lie to the counselor / pastor / therapist telling them that you actually abused them. The church leaders and attenders often condemn and shame you in staying with your abusive spouse and most in the church remind you that “God hates divorce.” So what does God think?
God does not want anyone to be emotionally abused because it can cause you to get sick from the stress and even die early. God knows that your abuser was never a true Christian and had demons intended to destroy you and stop you from your calling in Christ. God is angry with your deceiver.
Malachi 2:14-16
“Yet you say, “For what reason?” Because the Lord has been witness Between you and the wife of your youth, With whom you have dealt treacherously; Yet she is your companion And your wife by covenant. But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. “For the Lord God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously.””
Sapphira submitted to her ungodly husband Ananias who told her to lie to Peter about how much money they received from selling their property in Acts 5:1-11 and God killed her. You will be responsible if you choose to submit to an ungodly spouse causing you to disobey Jesus and not walk in your calling.
So give your fake Christian spouse time to repent and pursue getting their soul wounds healed and being delivered from their demons. They have a freewill to change or not. If they refuse then the Lord will ask you to decide if you will serve Him or the demons in your spouse. God will confirm when it’s time to end the marriage so you can live in peace and serve the Lord unimpeded by their demons. Spouses who have no fruit of the spirit who duped you into marrying them in order to control and hurt you were a fake believer full of demons that Satan tried to use to destroy you and your children. What does the Bible say when a spouse has left the marriage emotionally due to their verbally hurting you over and over again trying to control and manipulate you and having no peace in the marriage?
1 Cor 7:15
“But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace.”
