YOU OBEYED THE LORD – SO WHY ARE YOU STILL SUFFERING?

Joseph obeyed the Lord by running from Potiphar’s wife who wanted sexual relations with him but then ended up in jail for over 3 years after she lied and falsely accused him of pursuing sex with her.

Daniel obeyed the Lord by praying to Him in defiance to the new law the jealous Satraps devised against him but then was thrown into a den of lions to be killed.

Paul obeyed the Lord and was beaten, stoned, whipped, shipwrecked and put into prison.  Moses had to leave luxury and live in the wilderness for 40 years before walking in his calling to lead the Hebrew people to their freedom from slavery.

When you choose to truly obey the Lord you will suffer hardships, pain, betrayal, false accusations, lies, gossip, financial hardships, hatred and your circumstances can be horrible.  But eventually, sometimes years later, you will see tremendous fruit as the obedience and sacrifices lead to walking in your highly anointed calling in Christ as the lives you minister to will be dramatically changed for the Kingdom.

Often the Lord leads you into a situation or a relationship that will cause tremendous adversity and suffering sometimes for many years but eventually later redeems by giving you extreme anointings to help thousands of others. So stay encouraged and don’t give up during your season of suffering. Stay the course and speak life, be positive, do not listen to demons speaking to you or speaking through others to you.

Many have suffered for years in abusive relationships with a spouse or parent, or being controlled by others in the workplace and even in the church.  For those who listened to the Lord and obeyed eventually the Lord led them out of their negative circumstances, breaking free from toxic demonic relationships and they are now greatly blessed as they are able to minister to others as the Lord anointed them to help others who are enduring similar injustices and pain.  If you haven’t suffered from persecutions of others then what are you doing for the Kingdom of God?

After Joseph endured over 3 years in prison he was suddenly taken out and interpreted a dream from Pharaoh which led to his promotion to number two in all of Egypt and was used to save the lives of hundreds of thousands during a 7 year famine, including his own family whose jealous brothers wanted to kill him.

The Lord shut the mouths of the lions and Daniel was suddenly promoted as the chief Governor of the representatives of king Darius.

Paul was honored for his tremendous sufferings over 30 years by writing much of the New Testament.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭24‬-‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.”

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭3:13-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“…But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,”

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are….
