Many single women who attend church often feel the angry stares and glares of married women who feel like the single women want to flirt with and steal their husbands. Sadly it doesn’t help when many of the married women’s husbands are looking and lusting after other women instead of keeping their eyes on their own wives which cause their wives to feel insecure and jealous. Sadly most men are not delivered from their own demons of lust. 57% of senior pastors, 64% of youth pastors and 75% of men who attend church look at porn according to a Barna group study commissioned by Josh McDowell ministries.
So many of the married women will shun the single women or make snide remarks to them and then the men will talk to the single women which perpetuates the feelings of insecurity in the married women. Of course demons are telling the married women that the single women want your husband when in reality many of the single women simply want friendship with other women and eventually to find a husband. So church can be a very hostile place for a godly single woman.
So can a single woman actually not be delivered and flirt with married men – of course – but those who are walking in consecration to the Lord just want to worship the Lord and be married to a godly husband. And yes some married women who are happily married are secure and treat the single women with love. So the solution for everyone is to get their past soul wounds healed, forgive everyone who hurt them, repent for pride and sin, command their demons to go and walk in the fruit of the spirit, humility and sexual purity.
