GOD MADE 113 MEN DIVORCE THEIR WIVES
In the Book of Ezra (chapters 9 and 10), God confronts the Israelite men who had married ungodly, pagan wives who were causing their husbands to pull away from God. Ezra leads the 113 men (17 priests, 10 Levites, and 86 other men) in a mass repentance where the Israelite men were commanded to divorce their ungodly wives. This drastic measure aimed to purge the community of idolatry and preserve the religious purity of Israel after their return from the Babylonian exile.
Today Satan has setup many of God’s true believers by having his fake Christians marry God’s true believers by connecting them to an ungodly, pagan spouse. Today’s pagan spouses operate in the Jezebel spirit – both women and men. The Jezebel spirit causes people to act like they are a Christian to fool real Christians but they have evil fruit and hearts whose intention is to draw their spouse away from the Lord and force their spouse to submit to them and essentially make them an ungodly idol which is exactly what Jezebel did with Ahab as she came against the true godly prophets and even killed them. Therefore the divorces in Ezra were necessary in order to allow the godly spouses to be able to live in obedience to the Lord and serve the Lord unimpeded and then be blessed by the Lord.
Ezra Chapters 10:7-11 NKJV
7 And they issued a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the descendants of the captivity, that they must gather at Jerusalem, 8 and that whoever would not come within three days, according to the instructions of the leaders and elders, all his property would be confiscated, and he himself would be separated from the assembly of those from the captivity.
9 So all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered at Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month; and all the people sat in the open square of the house of God, trembling because of this matter and because of heavy rain. 10 Then Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, “You have transgressed and have taken pagan wives, adding to the guilt of Israel. 11 Now therefore, make confession to the Lord God of your fathers, and do His will; separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the pagan wives.”
So understand that if you married a spouse (wife or husband) who lied about being a true Christian and has emotionally abused you and treated you in all kinds of evil ways and refuses to change and rejects walking in obedience to the Lord and Bible that God will not force you to stay forever in that demonic marriage that was setup by Satan. God does not want His people to be unequally yoked. Many marriages were never ordained by God. God will confirm when you have tried everything to help your spouse to change but they have refused when it’s finally time to go. Choose whom you will serve….the Lord or the demons in your spouse.
Also God is angry with the spouse who deals treacherously with the other spouse which causes the break in the marriage covenant. In the Bible being treacherous means breaking a sacred promise, acting with deceit, and betraying the trust of someone who is close to you. It is not just a simple lie. It is a deep break of faith in an important relationship, such as a marriage or a covenant with God. Malachi 2:13-17 God is angry with men divorcing good wives for no valid reason just because they wanted to and their wives had no way to support themselves. Obviously there are many who operate in the Jezebel spirit (both women and men) who abuse their spouses and then refuse to repent and end up divorcing their godly spouse and that is wrong. If both husbands and wives would get healed from their soul wounds and delivered there wouldn’t need to be any divorces. Freewill.
