DEMONIC PEOPLE PROVOKE YOU UNTIL YOU REACT & THEN BLAME YOU
People who have demons (including unhealed Christians) love to provoke you past the point where you can no longer take it and then when you get angry back at them and lose your control they then point their finger at you blaming you for losing it because they love the power of feeling that they can control you to make you get angry, raise your voice and yell at them. They call it reactive abuse.
Sometimes it feels like Satan himself is speaking through these people because they know exactly what to say to hurt you to your core. It takes a spiritually strong person to simply not respond and walk away when someone provokes you. The key is not to stay in the same room forever when the person begins to provoke you or to hang up on them because their demons are very cunning and adept at knowing exactly what to say to you to hurt you and get you angry and cause you to want to explode on them and then you come out looking like the bad guy or girl. It’s very hard to forgive people who provoke you which then allows demons to torment you as well.
So what does the Bible say to do when someone tries to provoke you into an argument or dispute?
2 Timothy 2:23-26 NKJV
“But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”
Self control is a fruit of the spirit but is hard to walk in unless you are healed from your soul wounds, have forgiven everyone from your heart, repented for sin and commanded demons out. When you are healed and delivered you will be able to simply ignore those who try to provoke you and walk away, hang up the phone, block them and then keep your peace on. Demonic people hate it when they can’t get you to react to them as they can’t control you. So just ignore and block and have nothing to do with them. Give them over to God and let Him deal with them.
