There are many people in your life that God has been trying to remove for years. For some it was your controlling or toxic father or mother. For others it was your brother or sister. For others it was your compromised pastor, manipulative mentor, fake friends, work colleagues and even your demonic narcissistic spouse who was trying to make you obey them and their demons.
When people who are on assignment from Satan to derail you from God’s assignment then you can’t be blessed by the Lord. You must remove yourself from them in order to obey the Lord. Often times God has been waiting for years on you to finally move on without those who have kept you held back and hindered your effectiveness in doing the Lord’s work. When Joseph was sold by his jealous brothers to the Egyptians and got away from them he finally began to be blessed greatly by the Lord.
Matthew 10:35-37 NKJV
“For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”
Mark 10:28-31 NKJV
“Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.””
Do not stay connected to people who are connected to living compromised, unrighteous, sinful lives or they could have devastating effects on you. In Acts 5:1-11 it cost Sapphira her life as she submitted to her husband who was not submitted to God. He caused her to lie about how much they sold their property for to Peter and she died 3 hours after he lied and died. You must choose to separate from fake Christians and ungodly influences so that the Lord can bless you.
