Many have been disrespected and dishonored from most people throughout their lives starting with their father and/or mother, step parents, grandparents, aunts / uncles, cousins, siblings, friends, teachers, ex girl or boy friends, a spouse, their children or step-children, in laws, church people, and people at work. And if they do ministry they will especially be disrespected by many.
When you treat people with honor and respect, love and kindness but then in return they give you back total disrespect and dishonor, disdain, contempt, injustices, false accusations and lies about you to others it can be extremely hard to forgive and be healed from the wounds they caused.
David wrote the following about Saul who completely disrespected and dishonored him after he played his harp and sang to him trying to ease his torment with demons and headaches as Saul tried to kill him for 7+ years because he was jealous that God picked David to become the new king to replace him.
Psalms 44:15-16 NKJV
“My dishonor is continually before me, And the shame of my face has covered me, Because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles, Because of the enemy and the avenger.”
Jesus said this to the Jews who dishonored Him.
John 8:48-49 NKJV
“Then the Jews answered and said to Jesus, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.”
Realize that when you take a stand for Christ that you will be mocked, ridiculed, persecuted and slandered by all those who are demonic. Long suffering is a fruit of the spirit that no one wants to experience.
To be healed of all those who dishonored and disrespected you throughout your life say “I choose to forgive everyone in my life who caused me to feel disrespected and dishonored and give all those wounds to you Jesus and ask You to heal me.” Then say “I command every demon that attached to my soul from anyone who dishonored and disrespected me to be gone to the pit in Jesus name.”
Then declare “I thank the Lord and receive His honor and respect over me and my life.” When your time on earth is complete and you go before the Lord for final judgment you will hear “well done my good and faithful servant”
