JEZEBEL TRIES TO MAKE THEMSELVES IRREPLACEABLE
People with the spirit of Jezebel (both women and men) try to work themselves into key positions that are close to the senior leaders within churches, businesses and other workplaces where they are integral and can be very hard to be replaced. They want to be protected by the senior leaders to be able to operate covertly and come against people who have high integrity and good character and godliness to try and control them to make them obey them and then later lie about them to try to have them removed.
It can be very challenging for a senior leader to not support the Jezebel when someone who has been hurt by Jezebel reports wrongdoing by them because of all the value and effective work they have provided to the church or business as they can be very successful for their leaders. They make themselves to appear to be irreplaceable. Thus most Jezebels are protected by the senior leaders and they kick out those who have been Jezebel’s victims which hurts the victim even more.
Senior leaders are also afraid of backlash from Jezebel if they do the right thing and kick out the Jezebel from their organization. Jezebel will not go quietly as they make up false accusations, lies and slander and then they must deal with the negative drama from others who believe the Jezebel’s false narrative. It takes a strong godly person to stand up to Jezebel and not tolerate them and trust the Lord. Even Elijah who called fire down from heaven and killed 850 prophets of Jezebel ran for his life out of fear when Jezebel threatened him in 1 Kings 19.
Revelation 2:20-23 NKJV
“Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.”
