PARENTING CHILDREN WHO HAVE SOUL WOUNDS
Most all children get wounded when they grow up. Most often their own father or mother speaks negative hurtful words to them because their parents were never healed from their own soul wounds nor delivered from their demons. Some parents abuse their children physically. 95% of children are exposed to porn and many are molested by their relatives, neighbors, friends, during sleepovers, strangers, etc. so they will struggle with lust and promiscuous behavior.
Thus as they grow up they become wounded teenagers and then hear demons which compel them to make bad decisions that hurt them even more. Then become wounded adults.
1) IF YOU HAVE HURT YOUR CHILDREN
When we have hurt our own children for years then they will usually want nothing to do with us and disrespect us. So humble yourself from your pride. Get your own soul wounds healed and be delivered then:
– ask Jesus to show you what you said and did that wounded them
– own how you have hurt your own children and apologize to them
– never speak harshly to them or behave controlling
– you may need to be overly loving and patient with them to amend for the damage you did
2) IF YOUR SPOUSE HAS TURNED THEM AGAINST YOU
– pray the scales are removed from their eyes to see the truth
– ask the Lord to help you be patient
– never speak or text anything that is harsh to them or controlling
– it may take years until they see the truth from the lies of your spouse or ex spouse
3) IF THE CHILD IS ENTITLED AND PRIDEFUL
– let them come to the end of themselves over time to look in the mirror
– love them always and never say anything that can cause their demons to come against you more
– give them to the Lord. When we are prideful and entitled the Lord allows our circumstances to help teach us we are in the wrong so we will recognize it and change.
4) THE CHALLENGES OF STEP CHILDREN
Let the biological parent discipline and correct their children. The step parent should always be in a loving state to the step child realizing that the child has been wounded due to the divorce of their parents or losing a parent. Often one of the parents has hurt their own child deeply (if not both) so the step parent must love them with extra grace and bite their tongues from criticism of their negative behavior. Never say anything that would hurt the step child more than they are already hurting.
Ultimately all our children need to be healed from their soul wounds and delivered from demonic spirits in order to walk in peace and the fruit of the spirit. If your children are 18 or younger ask them if you can pray for them and if they will let you command every spirit that is not from God to be gone to the pit in Jesus name and release peace over their minds. If they are 19 and older they must recognize they need their soul wounds healed and want to be delivered. Freewill.
