SIGNS YOU ARE DEALING WITH A FAMILY GENERATIONAL CURSE
I’ve ministered to thousands of Christians around the world to help them get their soul wounds healed from their emotional hurts and wounds and be delivered from oppressive demons and most all of them struggled with the same issues that their parents and grandparents struggled with. In Deuteronomy chapter 28 it talks about blessings for obedience to the Lord and curses for disobedience. Below are some of the most common family generational curses that I have seen in the people I have taken through sessions:
– Mental / Emotional issues (rejection, not good enough, anxiety, anger, depression, etc)
– Prone to accidents (drop things, break things, car accidents, falls)
– Addictions to alcohol / smoking / drugs / food / sex / porn
– Chronic hereditary sicknesses (doctors cannot find any normal cause)
– Divorce and family breakdowns (children alienated from parents and siblings)
– Financial problems (long term poverty)
– Unnatural deaths / dying young / suicides
– Female issues (barrenness / miscarriages / menstruation problems)
What happens is that the same demons that tormented our relatives will torment us often because we got hurt by our parents, grandparents, aunts / uncles, cousins and others and couldn’t forgive so the demons have legal rights to torment us. We need to understand that we can change things and be the generational curse breaker in our families. We must do our part and be willing to forgive all who ever hurt us so we won’t be tormented by demons (Matt 18:21-35). We must also humble ourselves from our pride which comes from anger from our wounds. And make sin rare in our lives.
We all sin when we first come to Christ but we must not justify staying in that sin forever. We must be transformed and walk in the fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5:16-26.
We must forgive all who hurt us, repent for pride and make sin rare. Get the Holy Spirit and then command all demons out from our souls. Then walk in the fruits of the spirit.
