THE BIBLE ACTUALLY WARNS TO STAY AWAY FROM NARCISSISTS
Does it seem like more people are manifesting narcissistically than ever before? It’s because in the past people who behaved evil with pride and abused others actually felt a little shame and guilt of themselves for having that bad of behavior but today they are more prideful than ever before so that they have no convictions whatsoever of what others think of them. At the same time more people are also no longer tolerating the abuse and are exposing their spouse or parents or ministry leaders who have treated them emotionally abusively or worse for years. More people than ever are becoming aware of the underlying spiritual roots of narcissistic personality disorder and how it is actually demonic. The spiritual roots of those who would be diagnosed as a narcissist is the spirits of Jezebel and Leviathan (Revelation 2:18-23 and Job 41).
The scripture which specifically describes narcissistic behavior in the last days is in 2 Timothy 3:1-9:
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
Most narcissists sadly never change because the psychological world does not understand the spiritual connection between getting hurt as a child, then having demons begin to torment their minds and how forgiveness can remove the legal rights of the demons (Matthew 18:21-35) and then can be cast out so the person can walk-in in freedom and behave kindly and loving. Many marriages consist of one who operates as a narcissist who has the spirit of Jezebel and the other who operates in the Ahab spirit. Either can be a woman or a man. The Ahab will never have peace as long as their spouse keeps the Jezebel spirit.
