WHEN PEOPLE SPEAK NEGATIVE WORDS THAT CUT & HURT YOU
When a person says negative hurtful words that are intended to cause you to feel uncomfortable, hurt, wounded, unrighteously judged by their skewed standards, less than, unworthy, and even hated then that person still has unhealed soul wounds and demons that are speaking to them. Many who would identify as Christians but are not fully healed or delivered refuse to resist their urges to cut others with their words due to their own pride and if you try to gently correct them will take an offense at the drop of a hat. They are actually rude and justify it by thinking they are speaking the truth and “that’s just the way God made me.”
These unhealed Christians love to tell others what they should do all day long all the while not walking themselves in love and having logs in their own eyes and refusing to believe that they need to change any behavior. Often they become lonely as those they hurt have to minimize contact with them so they don’t continue to allow additional damage in their own lives from them.
Thus if you have anyone in your life who refuses to change and stop hurting you with their mean words then the best course of action is trying to address it with them in a loving way but if they refuse to own it and change their behavior then have nothing to do with them and give them completely to the Lord.
2 Timothy 2:23-26 NKJV
“But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”
