ARE YOU LIVING A LUKEWARM OR RIGHTEOUS LIFE FOR JESUS?
Most people who are church attenders today would fall into the category of the Lukewarm church according to Revelation 3:14-22. They continue to live a life of sin with lust, porn, masturbation, sexual impurity, anger, gossip, bitterness, and pride. Making idols of food, sex, alcohol, sports, money, politicians, their job, social media, movies, songs and bowing down to sinful people, lukewarm church leaders in sin, ungodly organizations and companies. Most don’t have any conviction in their hearts for their sin and don’t see any need to ask for forgiveness or repent to God because they have been taught by their pastors that grace covers all their sin and they don’t need to repent anymore. They want to appear to be godly in front of their church friends but then live like the world the rest of the week.

I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ””

Sin is an outward indicator that you don’t want to crucify your fleshly desires in your soul (mind, will and emotions). That your soul wounds from childhood have not been healed yet, you have not forgiven people who hurt you and that you have pride and are in rebellion to the things of Christ. That you still believe the demonic spirits suggestions to your mind and feelings that sin is more beneficial and fun than obedience to God.
Sin loses all of its temptation and attraction when we have truly forgiven all who have hurt us, repented for our pride and sin and commanded demons out of our soul and obey the Bible. So if we know that we should not live a sinful life, and realize that it is wrong, yet we continue to walk in sin anyway – what does the Bible say?
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

So time is getting shorter for Christ’s return. It feels like there is more of an urgency now then ever before to the need to align our lives with Jesus and the Bible. To choose this day whom you will serve. Evil and wickedness and sin is everywhere in the world including the church. It is getting worse and it is getting harder to stand up for Jesus as there is growing persecution. So choose to be hot and on fire for Jesus, not lukewarm. Your salvation depends on it.
““And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’”

So forgive all who have hurt you, repent for your pride and sins, command the demons to the pit and then you will see the fruit of the spirit in your life.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
