Revelation 3:14-22 NKJV
The Lukewarm Church
14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ”
Today more than ever we are seeing people in the church who refuse to stand up for godly values, righteousness, truth, sexual purity, integrity, honesty, humility, protecting the lives of the innocent (babies), stopping human trafficking and making ungodly decisions influenced by money, their job, sexual stimulation through pornography and outside of marriage and allowing their ungodly spouse to cause them to bow down to their demons to make bad decisions in order to “keep the peace.”
Sadly there are more people in the church (including leadership) who are living a sinful, watered down spiritual life seeing more fruit of the flesh than fruit of the spirit. They have limited to no faith, bowing down to ungodly edicts by their local, state and national governments. Setting us up for the Mark of the Beast as the people. One former satanic worshipper said that they didn’t mind people attending church because most “Christians” are taught to choose peace above all other things. They are taught that peace means bowing down to the more demanding demon-controlled people in their lives including their spouse, the church leadership and the world. Jezebel controls most people in relationships and the church simply by raising their voice, demanding, accusing and threating. What does God think about people who operate in the Jezebel spirit?
Revelation 2:18-23 NKJV
The Corrupt Church
18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,
‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
It is interesting to note that people who develop the Jezebel spirit do so due to being hurt when growing up (often times by a parent but can be anyone). Often times through sexual violations. The secular world calls them Narcissists. They can only change when they are honest about their evil behavior, forgive people who hurt them, repent for their pride and sin and command their demons to be gone. If they don’t then they will grow more lonely as they age, and often develop dementia or Alzheimers as they are used to hearing demons speak to them thousands of times a day.
So God is looking for His remnant of people who are hot and not lukewarm or cold. They must operate in the fruit of the spirit and not the flesh. They need to be humble and not proud. Sexually pure and not impure. They can only do that when they stop listening to their demons and behave in ways that are consistent with Christ.
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
So as time gets closer to Christ’s return we need to understand that just because you attend church does not make you a saved Christian. We need to behave like Christ – not the world. People are going to be shocked when they come before God’s throne when they realize who actually is in heaven and who went to hell. Sadly many pastors and church leaders who have not forgiven people who hurt them nor repented for their pride and sin will not be in heaven. And people who were not regular church attenders yet walked in humility and the fruit of the spirit will actually be in heaven.
Matthew 7:15-23 NKJV
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
So it is time to get our soul wounds healed and delivered from demons causing us to live a life full of sin and evil. We need to not make idols of anything before the Lord (money, our job, sex, drinking, smoking, food, our spouse, beauty products, etc.) We do not want to live a daily life of lukewarmness and fall short of heaven. We want to be on fire for Jesus Christ. It is up to you. God gives you a freewill to choose. Choose wisely because you only have one chance.
