JEZEBEL’S FALSE ACCUSATIONS WILL INCREASE GOD’S BLESSINGS & ANOINTING OVER YOU In 1 Kings 21 Ahab wanted to buy Naboth’s vineyard to turn it into a vegetable garden but Naboth said no as he was going to give it to his own children. So Ahab told his wife Jezebel and she came up with a plan to invite Naboth to a banquet and then had 2 scoundrels accuse Naboth of blaspheming God and King Ahab when she was the one who actually came against God and killed the prophets of the Lord. Jezebel ultimately killed Naboth and stole his vineyard to give to Ahab her husband. God then told Elijah to confront Ahab for the murder of Naboth and Ahab actually repented and fasted and put on sackcloth but Jezebel refused to repent. So God used Elijah to kill Jezebel’s 450 Baal prophets and then afterwards Jezebel threatened to kill Elijah. God then rescued Elijah and took him to heaven before Jezebel could kill him. PAUL’S THORN IN HIS FLESH WERE PEOPLE SENT BY SATAN TO PERSECUTE HIM Many have been taught that Paul’s thorn in his flesh was a physical pain that God wouldn’t heal him from but the saying of a “thorn in the flesh” is similar to today’s saying of “a pain in the butt.”  In the Old Testament it was commonly said that people who made your life harder were “a thorn in my eye or side.” Paul’s thorn was a demonic spirit or messenger sent by Satan in people who were against Paul which continually stirred up persecution against him. This is also verified by three Old Testament references (Num. 33:55; Joshua 23:13 and Judges 2:3), where people coming against others spoken of as being “thorns in your sides” and “thorns in your eyes.” So when someone says or does something to cause you struggles, or to make your life harder, or if you are ministering to people to help them but someone is coming against you by telling lies about you told by those with demons or the Jezebel spirit then they are a “pain in your butt” or “thorn in your flesh”.
