Another common spirit that is found afflicting those that are anointed is the Leviathan spirit. Usually those that have the Jezebel spirit will also have the Leviathan spirit operating in them and will need to be dealt with effectively. A combination of Jezebel and Leviathan are extremely difficult to dislodge because the afflicted person has to command them to go. If the person has been tormented with them for 20 or more years they will often have entrenched mindsets in place which become strongholds that will cause them to deny they have those spirits. The majority of men who attend church today are not operating in the fullness of who they are called to be in the Lord.  They are not hearing the Lord direct them every day, are not praying for people, seeing them get healed and are not providing prophetic words to people who need them to take them into their destiny in Christ. [spacer height="20px"] Most are simply going through the motions talking about surface issues: weather, stock market, the economy or sports.  Some may get together at men’s events at church or “men summits” and then play games like cornhole, carpetball, horseshoes, Frisbee, basketball, football or perhaps go fishing and have campfires and bond.  I know because I have been to many of them at several churches.  Unfortunately, many complain about having over-controlling and manipulative wives who do not allow them to try to lead their families or enjoy their lives (and of course many of the men are not equipped to lead spiritually to begin with).  I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs to men to “wake up!” and get with the program and become who Christ called them to be – healthy spiritual leaders! It is amazing to see how true it is when speaking with men all around the world how so many decide to marry women who are very similar to their own mothers.  I have seen the following scenario played out many times over and over everywhere:  Four brothers that have grown up in the same family who have a father that is spiritually weak and mild whose wife is strong, controlling, manipulative and takes the lead spiritually. As the brothers grow up they start to date girls who are similarly strong, controlling and some may be leaders spiritually.  The women enjoy the relationship with the sons because they know that they can control the timid men or at least know that as they act loving to some extent before marriage, once they are married they can then move into the controlling mode at a stronger rate. When a child grows up without a strong, loving and godly father in his life, it profoundly impacts him or her for the rest of their life unless they have an encounter with the Lord to change what is in motion. Most children who grew up not seeing their fathers read their Bible consistently, model Christ-like behavior or hear them pray strong prayers in the same authority Christ teaches have struggles in their teenage and young adult years.  It is very hard to be a powerful man or woman of God when your parents never showed you the way by their everyday life because you will simply become a product of your environment. So what happens to a child when they become a teenager and young adult coming from a typical family that just attended church and went through the motions without a real personal relationship with the Lord?  Typically you will see a son or daughter who develops into a nice young adult but does not hear from the Lord nor see any miracles or life changing experiences with the Lord, so they do not have a close personal relationship that feels real.  It is a bland, basic life of…

When thinking about how our lives get shaped into developing who we become and how we behave from a spiritual perspective, one cannot fail to think about the major importance of having our earthly father model it for us.  Sadly, for most of us, we did not have a great example showing us how to master this extremely important responsibility during our growing up years from the time we were young to maturing into adulthood.  This explains why we see so many of us struggling to know what exactly to do in order to walk powerfully in who we are to be in Christ and thus an entire world is largely spiritually void. How does one recognize a person that may be struggling with operating in the Jezebel spirit? [spacer height="20px"] The answer will vary depending on the relationship you share with them.  If you are married to them they will want to dominate you in most every part of your life and demand their own way and be very selfish and depending on the pain that they received from the lack of a father, rejection or control from their father all the way to verbal, physical or sexual abuse.  The more pain that they suffered the more controlling and abusive they will be.  Of course they will try to portray themselves as being innocent to others that they come into contact with as much as they can possibly wear the mask of innocence.
