SIGNS THE SPIRIT OF BAAL IS AFFECTING YOU Baal was a false god that King Ahab and his wicked wife Jezebel attempted to force upon the nation of Israel during the time of Elijah the Prophet (1 Kings 18). Consequently, during this challenging time – most Jews kept their faith and identity inwardly but bowed to Baal when necessary to appease Jezebel. Those today who are being tormented by the spirit of Baal will struggle with standing up for Christlike standards of righteousness for fear of being persecuted. They want to live a life of comfort and ease and bow down to the pop culture and world because of fear of what others may think or say. They especially don’t want to stand up to those operating in the Jezebel spirit and will tolerate them and give them what they want because of the challenging effort to resist them and dealing with the false accusations that will come. BEWARE OF HELPING THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE Most Christians are taught that we need to help other people. While that is true, sometimes helping others will cause you to feel unappreciated, exhausted, drained and even taken advantage of as you can enable them to stay in toxic behaviors. Jesus helped people who wanted to change - many of the Pharisees didn’t want to change and hated Jesus. The Bible teaches us the importance of discernment when offering assistance. Proverbs 19:19 says “A man of great wrath will suffer punishment; For if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.” This reminds us that sometimes, our help can unintentionally enable harmful behaviors or keep people stuck in a cycle of dependency. By setting healthy boundaries and understanding when your help is being exploited, you can protect your peace and focus on helping those who are truly ready for change.
