God calls us to live a life full of purity and integrity

Today's world tells you "if it feels good to you, do it" and so many "Christians" justify living a lifestyle that is not even close to being pure or of highest integrity.  Then the enemy pulls them into justifying behavior that is contrary to righteousness.  The enemy whispers to them and they have no idea as they think it is their own thoughts, thus rationalize in their minds the plans of the enemy.  Once operating in a more justified sinful behavior, the enemy has them on his territory and the Lord cannot protect them.  People today have no clue how many of their thoughts are from the enemy because they are not in tune with the Lord and hearing His voice.  They are deceived and don't even realize it. So how do we get people who attend church to wake up and understand just how real the enemy is?  How do we get pastors and leaders to wake up and realize that the enemy is constantly at work whispering to them to water down their messages of purity and integrity so as not to offend any of their big givers to the offering plate?  The Lord is coming back soon…

What people want more than anything is to live in peace

So many people that I have met during my lifetime who work their entire lives in order to make as much money as they can so they can buy things that take them farther away from true peace in the Lord.  I should know because I used to be one of them.  I grew up on a farm west of Fort Wayne, IN that was located just west of a small town called Columbia City.  I often had to wear "hand-me-downs" of clothing from my two older brothers, or patched up jeans, because we simply did not have any extra money.  We lived in an old 100+ year old farm house that sat atop a hill overlooking highway US 30 which stretched from SE of Chicago across the state towards Ohio. I got a job as soon as I could drive when I was in high school.  I was in 4H and had the grand champion barrow (male pig) and sold it for about $1,500 to the local Kroger grocery store in Columbia City.  I went into the manager of that store to thank him for purchasing my pig and then asked him for a job. He hired me on…

Let no words of complaint come out of your mouth

Do you know of anyone that complains often about other people, their circumstances or life in general?  What does it feel like to be the recipient of those words of complaint?  Do you feel like you just got slimed and your joy has turned to sadness? So many people in this world (Christians included) complain about everything and when the words are spoken, the enemy has the right to taint all that are within earshot. So what does the Bible say about complaining?  Does it improve your life when expressing your frustrations to others?  Do you feel like you got a weight lifted off your shoulders, or do you feel just as heavy and clouded as ever? Unfortunately we are called to never complain about anything, to anyone, but rather to give all our cares of this world to the Lord.  Suffering as unto the Lord will be honored by God, as long as we do not complain along the way, or else you could stay in that season a whole lot longer than you bargained for.  Think about the Israelites and how much they complained after the Lord rescued them from the Egyptians as they had to wander in…

A servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle to all

2 Timothy 2:23-24 says "23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient"  So many people (let alone Christians) strive about everything.  They simply do not know how to control their tongues from speaking words of strife.  And striving is not just about arguing with another person, although many times is often a big part of a person's life. Striving can also be about getting into worry, fear, anxiety, frustration, anger, taking an offense, etc.  Anything that causes a person to not be at peace is always the enemy.  Circumstances that appear to be a certain way cause people to lose their peace, instead of declaring how they want it to change and then thanking the Lord until it manifests in the future.  Unfortunately those in the church are not much better then those in the world when it comes to truly walking in the Spirit. So how does one change their life to stop striving so much?  It is a process of renewing one's mind from the things of their past to the things of the Lord.…

Walking in peace every day is possible but the enemy will fight you

It has been more than 2 years that I have walked in peace every day, and it feels amazing.  From the time I was about 30 years old until I was 48, I endured some extreme circumstances while living with people who were affected by the enemy in extreme ways.  The latter 6 years was the most intense season of enemy torment that I had ever envisioned having to endure.  It pressed me to the edge of my ability to live a semi-normal state.  And I was not allowed by God to tell anyone what I was going through until He released me from my assignment. Today I walk in peace every day and no circumstances to the contrary will ever shake me because of the extremity of the tribulation that the Lord had me go through.  It has created an unshakeable ability to not strive about anything with anyone at any time.  I simply will not strive. 2 Timothy 2:23-24 says "23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,"  Very few people (let alone Christians) walk…

Have you ever thought where your thoughts come from?

Have you ever sat down and thought where your thoughts are coming from? Most people rarely do. They just speak out whatever thought comes to them and then hurt other people that receive those words.  They just state "that's just the way I am - I speak my mind."  They do not have true love and compassion on those that they are speaking to and just expect people to "deal with it." Unfortunately so many in the world have no clue that their thoughts came from the true enemy in this world.  The thought was planted by the enemy, then the person receives it and agrees with it, then speaks it out, hurting all that are within earshot.  It is so important to think before one speaks, to discern what the ramifications will be. It is one thing if the person does not have a personal relationship with the Lord, as who can expect a lost person to be loving, kind, gentle and compassionate with others if their heart is not of the Lord.  But when a supposed Christian, who attends church regularly, and is being taught that we are to love like Christ loved the church, spews forth words…
