So many people get hurt when growing up from their fathers, mothers, step-parents, siblings, grandfathers or grandmothers, aunts, uncles, teachers, pastors, friends, people and then struggle to live in peace or have healthy relationships the rest of their lives. And many of them attend church regularly. Just because a person asks Jesus to come into their hearts does not take away the legal rights of demons from continuing to torment their minds with demonic thoughts of fear, anxiety, anger, control, manipulation, sexual perversion, pride, arguing, striving, fighting, jealousy or rejection.
Our souls are comprised of our mind (thoughts), wills (freewills to choose), and emotions. As long as we continue to harbor unforgiveness in our hearts and minds for those who hurt us deeply – the demons have legal rights to continue tormenting our thoughts and we will not be living a life of peace or joy. The National Science Foundation did a study in 2005 that found that the typical person could have up to 50-60,000 thoughts per day – of which 80% of the thoughts are negative and 95% are repetitive. Those are demonic thoughts that continue to be given to you by demons and then you can’t turn them off no matter how much you may pray or listen to Christian music or fast. You must take away the legal rights of the demons through truly forgiving people who hurt you from your heart. But how do you do that if you were betrayed, abused, molested, raped, yelled at, embarrassed, satanic ritually abused, etc. as the demons will keep reminding you of those offenses every day – sometimes thousands of times a day. The more you got hurt by people the more demons you will have tormenting your thoughts and causing you to have pains, sicknesses and diseases in your body.
You need to ask Jesus to speak to you about why people hurt you in your past in order to truly understand that they were hurt by demons who caused them to hurt you. Then you can truly forgive them in your heart and when you do that you can then command the tormenting demons to be gone in Jesus name. As you get all your soul wounds healed and demons gone you will be at peace and have joy in your life and then actually be able to have the fruit of the Spirit evident in your life. You become a real Christian and not a fake. You don’t desire to keep behaving in sexually impure ways, you treat people with love and respect instead of pride, you get along with your spouse and children and love them, you are no longer selfish.
Galatians 5:16-26 talks about how Christians behave before they have had their soul wounds healed and delivered from demons and then after.
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
So many who are in the church are not behaving with the fruit of the spirit but of the flesh because they have not totally forgiven all who have hurt them nor repented for their pride and sin thus giving the demons legal access to continue speaking to their minds and then they do what they hear the demons tell them and ruin their relationships. The enemy wants people to believe that once they asked Jesus into their hearts that they are saved and golden. Then they continue to feed their flesh and choose to sin and have bad fruit. The enemy wants people to believe that once they were saved that they are always saved no matter how much evil they choose to continue to do.
Matthew 7:15-23 NKJV
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
There are many in the church who have bad fruit in their lives. They control, manipulate, walk in pride, lie, are jealous, sin sexually, force others to do what they want, and think they are saved when they are not. They need delivered so they have some good fruit to show. Many who have been hurt in their pasts are operating in the Jezebel spirit and are trying to teach people in the church when they should get delivered.
Revelation 2:18-23 NKJV
The Corrupt Church
18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,
‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
The proof is in the pudding. Who are you really behind closed doors? Who are you when you are in the car with your spouse or others? How do you treat people in general? Are you loving, kind, gentle, honest, have joy, peace, sexually pure, under self-control? The only way you can truly be a real Christian is to forgive everyone who has ever hurt you, humble yourself from your pride and repent for your sins. Then continually forgive new people who hurt you and walk in humility. It doesn’t mean you are sinless but that when you do fall that you own it and ask for forgiveness and make it right with others. We should look more like Jesus then the Pharisees and scribes who killed him. We should have more fruit of the Spirit in our lives then the flesh.
