Have you ever thought about where your thoughts come from? A thought comes to you from three different places. The Lord (Holy Spirit), the enemy (demons) or ourselves. The enemy wants to trick us by giving us thoughts that we think are from ourselves and are the best. The enemy often convinces us that we will be protected from getting hurt from others if we listen to him. The enemy will give us thoughts that sound good but in reality will come back to hurt us here on earth but more importantly in eternity.
The more that we are hurt when growing up and then later in life, the more we feel wounded and beaten down emotionally and can often trigger in angry ways. Our souls have been wounded, which are comprised of our mind (thoughts), will (freewill) and emotions (how we feel and react). When our souls are wounded we tend to get a lot of thoughts from demons whose voices sound similar to our own thoughts but will never give us true peace or love. How many of us have been talked to harshly by someone (such as our father or mother, a boss, a colleague, someone on the street or in a car, etc.) and then you remember the thought over and over again. It’s like you just can’t get it out of your mind. Often you hear it replay as if it was recorded on your phone in the exact same tone and level of anger.
Conversely when you hear a thought from the Lord or Holy Spirit, you usually feel lifted up, more joyful, at peace, comforted and loved. You tend to make much better decisions when you are hearing more from the Lord or Holy Spirit every day instead of demons. When you think about it…every great or evil decision…began first with a thought. The thoughts that come from listening to demons result in an evil decision with evil results. Things like abortion, fornication or adultery, witchcraft, drunkenness, murders, joining evil secret organizations like the Freemasons, Adolph Hitler murdering millions of Jews, people who are for murdering babies in abortion, etc. all began with a thought from demons that people agreed to take as their own thought and then put it into action.
Thoughts that come from the Lord produce great decisions and results such as when Moses led the people out of bondage from Egypt, when David defeated Goliath to free God’s people from constant threats, when Daniel listened and obeyed God instead of bowing down to his local government – even though he was put in the den with lions for breaking their bad law, the Lord protected him and then those who came up with the evil plan suffered death along with their family members.
Galatians 5:16-26 talks about when we walk in the flesh as compared to the spirit and shows what happens when we listen to our flesh (ie demons) instead of the Lord (Holy Spirit) and the decisions that result:
Galatians 5:16-26 New King James Version (NKJV)
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Who were some of the people who made many great decisions and saw positive results because they aligned themselves with the Lord and were blessed (notice all of them went through trials and suffered persecution from people with demons):
Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Ruth, David, Ezekiel, Daniel, Noah, Samuel, Nehemiah, Esther, John the Baptist, Jesus, The Disciples, Paul, John G. Lake, Mariah Woodworth-Etter, President Donald Trump (albeit he has changed dramatically since being President from who he used to be)
People who saw evil decisions with bad results hurting many people because they listened to demons and came in agreement with them:
Cain, Saul, Haman, Ahab, Jezebel, Athaliah (daughter of King Ahab and Jezebel), Abimilech, King Herod, Herodias, Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, George Soros, Hillary and Bill Clinton
It is so critical that with our freewill portion of our souls that we choose to have Jesus heal us of all our past wounds and trauma, be honest, humble ourselves from our pride, forgive everyone who hurt us, and repent for our own sins in order to get delivered from the demons tormenting us in our thoughts and causing us to make bad decisions with bad results. When we hear more from the Lord and the Holy Spirit then we do the demons we will live a much more peaceful, joy filled life for the Lord that will see much more positive impact then if we choose to allow the demons to have legal right to torment our thoughts. True Christians who hear from the Lord will still suffer persecution…but their results will be positively impacting people for Christ.
Thoughts from the Lord/Holy Spirit vs demons
LORD / HOLY SPIRIT DEMONS
Calms Obsesses
Comforts Worries
Encourages Discourages
Enlightens Confuses
Leads Pushes
Reassures Frightens
Stills Rushes
Loves Angers
Corrects Condemns
Truth Lies
Intimacy Perverseness
Pure Impure
Blessings Cursed
Healthy Sickness
Life Death
So it can be a life or death situation depending on whose voice you listen to which is why it is so critical that people get their past wounds healed by Jesus and command the demons tormenting them to go. We must take away all the legal rights that the enemy has to have access to our minds or else we will not have things go well for us. We do not want to allow any open doors to the enemy to enter through our behaviors and decisions
