Demons cause people to behave contrary to the fruit of the Spirit by speaking to their minds and having them operate in their sinful flesh. Demons also cause Christians to not want to talk about deliverance from demonic spirits so that they can continue on tormenting their minds and bodies. Unfortunately this is why most churches have not been able to truly help people find lasting peace or to live in total freedom and walk in God’s health plan since they avoid most anything to do with deliverance even though 1/3 of Jesus’ ministry was helping people get delivered from demons.
The most loving thing we can do for people is to help them get freed from the demons that are tormenting them. In 2005 the National Science Foundation did a study and found that many people had up to 50-60,000 thoughts a day of which 80% of their thoughts were negative and 95% of their thoughts were repetitive from the same thoughts they had the day before. When people get delivered from the demons tormenting them they have peace in their mind instead of all the thoughts from the enemy. Their personalities are stable instead of erratic and then they can actually walk in the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control). People who struggle with demons do not want to see others get delivered and will come against ministries that help people to get freed by lying about the individuals within them and coming against their character.
When people in the church do not get delivered they will manifest on other people and hurt them deeper. Manifesting means you behave in the ways of the flesh and unfortunately most in the church are not delivered so are saying and doing things to hurt others and pursuing sin and living ungodly and impure lives. Galatians 5:16-26 talks about those who are not delivered and how they operate and are not going to inherit the kingdom of God while the latter verses talk about our behavior when we are delivered and how we can walk in the Spirit like Christ.
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
It is sad to think that most churches and people are believing the lie that Christians cannot be tormented by demons because all one needs to do is open their spiritual eyes and see all those who attend church who are operating in the flesh, lying, cheating, stealing, pridefulness, behaving sexually perverse and arguing and fighting amongst other ungodly behavior. Character matters to God – as He looks at our fruit and our hearts and minds which determines if we are going to heaven or not.
Matthew 7:17-23 NKJV
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Jeremiah 17:10 NKJV
10 I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.
If a church does not help people get delivered then they are not doing what Jesus told us to do and what he did 1/3 of the time in His ministry. That is why those who attend church have so many demons because most pastors instruct them to get medicated instead of delivered. Deliverance is nothing more than being honest, forgiving those who have hurt us, repenting for our pride and sin and then commanding the demons to be gone from us like Jesus taught.
Mark 3:14-15 NKJV
14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
God hates pride as it comes directly against Him and causes us to have negative consequences. Lucifer got kicked out of heaven for his pride. Many who are in the church – especially many in leadership – have strong pride due to getting hurt when growing up and not getting delivered and listening to the demons who have spoken to them throughout their lives.
Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV
16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.
So the next time someone tells you to “Only focus on Jesus and ignore Jezebel and other demons” or to “just love everyone and don’t talk about demons” then let them know that is exactly what Satan wants them to say and that is what the church has been doing for hundreds of years and why so many Christians are more than a mess than ever and don’t have consistent fruit of the spirit in their lives as the demons are in control of their thoughts and causes them to behave in the flesh. When we ignore the demons that are tormenting us then we are oblivious to the real enemy that controls us which causes us to have no peace or humility or true love in our lives. It’s time we become the pure and spotless bride and the true remnant that Christ is coming back for as the body of Christ is a mess because of the lack of deliverance. What would Jesus do? He would tell us to get delivered from the demons tormenting us through forgiveness and repentance of sin and pride.
