So many Christians who attend church regularly strive frequently in their lives. What does striving mean? It means they worry about this and that, complain about their circumstances in their health, relationships, financially, etc and take offenses all day long, as well as get into foolish arguments with other people. 2 Timothy 2:23-25 NKJV “23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”
I used to strive like everyone else. From 2009 to 2014 I endured an extreme season of strife with another person in my life but it taught me things that I now use to help other people to stay in peace during extreme situations. It was a season in my life that I will never go through again, but gave me an extreme anointing for helping other people to be set free from spirits of the same kind that the person I had to endure was being afflicted by. This person would strive about everything, was in fear, became offended at the drop of a hat, yet would offend all day long. It was not fun enduring that season but it taught me how to walk through one of the most extreme situations that I could imagine going through in order to set up my ministry to help people around the world.
The Lord does not want us to speak any words of strife out of our mouths, ever. So that means to not complain about anything, ever. It means to not speak ill words of others, ever. It means to not speak words of fear and worry, ever. To never, ever get into an argument with another person. To be at peace at all times with everyone. I have finally learned how to never get into an argument with anyone but to have a calm conversation to discuss what needs to be talked about and if there is ever an escalation in the other person to then part and walk away, praying for that person to be at peace before re-engaging. I will never strive with anyone about anything at any time. It is totally ridiculous to get into strife because when you do, you are then on the enemy’s territory. Once you are on the enemy’s territory there is nothing anyone can do to keep your peace on. It will simply have to play its course out and it may take many hours or days until you can get your peace back.
How do you stay in peace and never strive about anything? You must recognize and discern when the enemy comes in to whisper to you and shut his voice down immediately. This is the entire key. You must have a revelation in your spirit and think before you speak. Most people just let the words fly out of their mouths without thinking first. If you think about where the thought is coming from and then determine if it is from the enemy, then you can arrest the thought, dismiss it, and refocus on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report (Phil 4:8). Phil 4:6-7 says “6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Another huge key to staying in peace 24/7 is praying in tongues because when you pray in tongues your spirit man gets stronger and your flesh man gets weaker. You also cannot hear from the enemy when he tries speaking to you. You will also discern when the enemy starts to speak a sentence to you and shut him down before he speaks the whole sentence. I will shut down the enemy speaking to me within the first few words and not allow him to say an entire sentence. It really helps me to stay in peace at all times. I pray in tongues throughout the day a total of around an hour a day. It is very reassuring to my spirit and allows me to enjoy my day of peace as I am talking to so many people around the world who operate in fear, anger, or hopelessness.
Also declaring out loud who you are in Christ is powerful. I am a mighty man or woman of valor and am bold and confident in all ways. I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. No weapon formed against me will prosper. Greater is He that is in me then he that is in the world. I am victorious in all things and the enemy is a loser!
The Lord had me write a book called Keep Your Peace On : Limiting Strife in Your Life. He downloaded the book in just a few days to me and within a week it was available on Amazon. I highly recommend anyone reading it because you will learn how to walk in peace 24/7 and change your life forever.
