HOW MANY OF YOUR THOUGHTS ARE FROM DEMONS?
We get our thoughts from three places. Ourselves, the Lord or Holy Spirit and demons.
In 2005, the National Science Foundation published an article summarizing research on human thoughts per day. It was found that the average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those thousands of thoughts, 80% were negative, and 95% were exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before.
So if you hear a lot of thoughts that cause you to be angry, fearful, anxious, jealous, bitter, behave sexually perverse, condemn you, depressed, suicidal then you can count on them being from demons.
Demons will give you thoughts like “Just drive your car into those trees and your problems will be over”, “Your husband (or wife) are all your problems and if they would only agree with you then you would be fine,” and “All your decisions are the best so don’t listen to your husband (or wife) and make sure everyone does what you decide.”
Demons will cause people who were hurt by a parent or sexually violated to feel like they are still a victim as an adult and when they trigger on their spouse and get mad at them they will feel justified for their anger and it will sabotage their own marriage hurting their spouse who is good to them.
Demons will give you a thought and then you will respond in your mind to them and they will try and convince you to trust them. They will try to convince you to believe they have your best interest. They will try to get you to be addicted to alcohol, drugs, smoking, gambling, food, sex, etc by telling you these addictions will give you more peace or pleasure. They will try to ruin your own marriage by causing you to behave selfish and walk in pride which will give demons more rights to speak into your mind.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
II Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
Demons are behind all intrusive thoughts to steal your peace which will result in fear and anxiety. Demons will try to convince you bad things will happen unless you do what they say. They will also convince you that you cannot trust anyone or that God will not protect you.
(Leahy, 2005, Study of Cornell University), scientists found that, firstly 85% of what we worry about never happens. Secondly with the 15% of the worries that did happen, 79% of the subjects discovered that either they could handle the difficulty better than expected, or that the difficulty taught them a lesson worth learning. The conclusion is that 97% of our worries are baseless and result from an unfounded pessimistic perception.
The process of healing your soul wounds through forgiveness, repentance for pride and sin will take away legal rights from demons to torment you and then command the demons to go. Then take every thought captive from demons and not allow them to speak to you in your mind. You will then have much peace and be able to walk in the fruit of the spirit.
