ARE YOU PURSUING A LIFE OF GETTING YOUR SOUL PURIFIED FOR CHRIST?

When a person decides they want to become a Christian the enemy knows that the purification process will truly give them freedom from the demons that they have dealt with their entire lives.  When people get wounded in life from their father or mother or step parents and suffer from sexual impurities (either touched or shown pornography or molested, homosexuality, etc.) then demons have a legal right to start giving them thoughts.  That affects a person’s soul (mind, will and emotions) and they will have demonic thoughts co-mingle with their own thoughts drawing them to do things according to their flesh (pursue sexual impure things, get angry, be selfish, feel rejected and hurt, want to control other people, etc.).  When a person makes a decision to invite Jesus into their hearts then they need to continue to pursue Christ’s purification process of choosing to get delivered from the demons that have legal rights to torment their thoughts so that they can actually have the fruit of the spirit in their lives instead of struggling like most do in the church.

The enemy tries to convince Christians that just because they ask Jesus to come into their hearts that all demons have to stop tormenting their thoughts and this is not true. That is why most Christians continue to struggle with ungodly thoughts from demons in their minds causing them to not have peace, joy, purity, godliness, love, self-control, kindness, etc.  We must continue to pursue Christ and the purification process by coming out of agreement with the demons giving us negative thoughts by taking those ungodly thoughts captive.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

If we don’t take our thoughts that are from demons captive then they will take us captive.  Most Christians hear from thousands of demonic thoughts a day and explains why they behave in ungodly ways and why they cannot have peace and purity within marriage.  It is the number one reason for strife and arguments within marriage – because people listen to their demons and then acting out accordingly.  Just because a person calls themselves a Christian does not mean that they are behaving as a true godly and pure Christian should.  Until a person completes the purification process and then continues to maintain it – they will act and behave in ungodly ways.  What is the purification process?

The purification process involves first and foremost truly forgiving everyone in your life that has ever hurt you and continuing to forgive new people who hurt you and doing it the rest of your life.  People who have demonic thoughts will hurt you and try to infect you with their demons.  So if you have a mother or father who did not love you well when you grew up then you will be haunted by their actions and words throughout your life until you make the decision to forgive them like Christ had to forgive His tormentors.  Otherwise the demons have legal rights to continue to speak to you in your thoughts to remind you over and over again.  The National Science Foundation did a study in 2005 which found that many people have up to 50-60,000 thoughts a day of which 80% of the thoughts are negative and 95% are repetitive of the same thoughts as the day before. Those thoughts are from demons and they affect people who attend church who would call themselves Christians until people truly forgive all who have hurt them.

Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

When we get hurt by people in our lives the enemy will remind you of all the injustices over and over again until we are able to finally truly forgive them.  Ask Jesus to give you a word about why a person hurt you as it will help you be able to see that they were hurt and that is the only reason they did those horrible things to you.  Then you can see them from His perspective and give them grace and forgiveness which frees you up taking away the legal right of the demons to torment you.  Then you can command the demons to go to the pit like Jesus taught us to do.

When we get hurt from people then the spirit of pride (Leviathan Job 41:34 states that Leviathan is the king over all the children of pride) will always start to speak to us telling us that we cannot trust others and that we should listen to him to keep us from being hurt anymore.  It tells us that our decisions are the best and that if anything in our lives goes wrong that it is another people’s fault and not our own.  So we must repent for our pride and our own sins.  If we don’t own our own issues and sin then our issues will own us.

This is called the purification process for our souls. We must get our past soul wounds healed by Jesus and then truly forgiving everyone in the past, present and future that hurts us.  Then keeping our pride removed through walking in humility and repenting for what we have done to hurt others and asking God to take away our pride which defeats Leviathan.

So once you decide to become a Christian then the process of purification can begin and needs to be pursued.  Too many “Christians” just ask Jesus to come into their hearts and never truly get free from their demonic thoughts because they still have legal rights to torment due to unforgiveness, pride and continued sin.  They are not pure whatsoever.  Galatians 5:16-26 explains what happens when we are not delivered as we still walk in fleshly fruit and then after we go through the purification process how we can then walk in the spirit as a true Christian:

Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

We must be careful to not be influenced by a person who calls themselves a Christian yet lives a life full of sexual impurity and ungodly behavior.  Don’t listen to their words – look at their actions and behaviors. The demons in them want you to compromise your life to accept living an impure lifestyle and thus giving demons legal access to hurt you.

Ephesians 5:6-10 NKJV

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.

Walk in Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

When you are pure – the enemy hates you and wants to stain and tarnish you.  Christ is pure and is coming back for His pure and spotless bride.  If you are going to get married to someone and you are pure then you will not settle to be married to anyone who is not equally pure.  Otherwise you will be unequally yolked.  Don’t settle for anything but the best!  Go through the soul purification process and have the fruit of the Spirit instead of the flesh!
