ALL CHRISTIANS NEED DELIVERANCE IN ORDER TO WALK IN THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

I gave my life to the Lord in 1974 at age 7. Received my prayer language in 1980 at age 13. But continued to struggle with fruit of the flesh. My deliverance began in September 2008 as I encountered the Lord strongly overnight and then enjoyed more and more freedom as I had a strong desire to become more like Christ with the evidence of the fruit of the spirit in my life. I saw my life transform suddenly as I no longer struggled with the former fruit of the flesh.  I desired to live in sexual purity, humility, and righteous living.  I had a love and compassions for all people and was able to no longer take an offense when others did me wrong but was able to forgive them.  Deliverance at its simplest form means that you are no longer under the control of demonic spirits nor find any satisfaction in fleshly desires.  You no longer desire to pursue a sinful lifestyle as you know it leads to things that are opposite of Jesus like lust, anger, bitterness, vengefulness, pride, sexual sin with the evidence of sickness, broken relationships and all the consequences from that type of lifestyle which ultimately lead to death and Hell.

True Christians have been able to choose to forgive all those who ever hurt them which takes away the legal rights of demons to torment your mind with thousands of negative thoughts a day as you can take those thoughts captive instead of listening to them every day and then being affected by them by doing what they say.   Freed Christians are able to walk in humility and do not consider themselves above others and have a servant’s heart of meekness.  Healed Christians live a sexually pure lifestyle and know what true intimacy is with only their husband or wife (assuming they are also delivered).  They repent for their sins and turn from them.

I have seen thousands around the world who have received huge breakthroughs and freedom in their lives through getting their soul wounds healed and delivered from demons.  Individual lives who are no longer struggling with staying stuck in destructive addictions, enduring broken unhealthy relationships, walking in the best health of their lives.  Jesus died for our sins and gave us a choice to choose to follow Him or not.  To obey Him or not. When we ask Jesus into our hearts we then begin the process to pursue getting delivered from the demons who have harassed us in our thoughts our entire lives.  Demons can stay and torment Christians as long as they have not forgiven others, walk in pride, tolerate sin and make idols and have addictions before the Lord in our lives.  Many of us have been violated sexually as children through seeing porn, being touched, molested, raped, etc. and then struggle with sexual purity our entire lives. All have been hurt and wounded emotionally by someone when we were growing up.  That is why many Christians (even those in ministry) do not behave as a true Christian with Christlike behavior yet are mean, selfish, prideful and emotionally abusive and worse.

Galatians 5:16-26 NLT

Living by the Spirit’s Power

16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

So the Bible states that if we regularly live out the desires of our flesh that we will not inherit the Kingdom of God which means we will perish in Hell.   So when we are able to get our past soul wounds healed through seeing that those who hurt us were also hurt then we are able to truly forgive them from our hearts and command the tormenting demons to be gone.  So we must forgive others to truly be freed and have God forgive us for our sins.

Matthew 6:14-15 NLT

14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

So it is critical to forgive EVERYONE who has ever hurt us, betrayed us (like what happened to Jesus), lied about us, etc.  Give them to Jesus and no longer have anger and bitterness to give demons legal rights to torment us.

When we are obedient to the Lord and His word we are able to enjoy our lives knowing that God is pleased with us.  When we disobey God then we are obeying the enemy.  We need to pursue a righteous life and not a life full of sin.

Romans 6:15-23 NLT

15 Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! 16 Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. 17 Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. 18 Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.

19 Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.

20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

So forgive everyone, pursue humility, repent for your sins and then walk in the fruit of the spirit like Jesus. Be a real Christian.  Even when you have to suffer through persecution from those who are not delivered you know that Jesus is cheering you on.

1 Peter 3:13-18 NLT

Suffering for Doing Good

13 Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. 17 Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!

18 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

So pursue getting all your past soul wounds healed and delivered.  It is not about works for even the Pharisees did things to make them appear good to men.  God looks upon our hearts.  The intentions of our hearts and minds.   Soul wound healing and deliverance changes everything.  You can find more in my latest book Freedom From Soul Wounds and Demons available on Amazon in paperback, Kindle or Audible.
