Satan can first hurt us as soon as we are conceived when we are in our mother’s womb if our mom or dad didn’t want us, they wanted a child of the opposite sex, if a mom suffered much trauma during her pregnancy which caused fear or rejection, a witch or warlock cursed us in the womb, falls, verbal abuse between our mom and dad or anyone, premature births, C-sections and any challenging deliveries that would cause fear to our mothers which then would be inherited by their child. Then once the child is born the enemy attempts to hurt it as much as he can from as many people as possible and situations.
So we can get hurt in a myriad of ways in our lives such as:
- Having negative words spoken to us by anyone (which we ALL have experienced)
- Having a parent who was religious who spoke condemnation and was harsh without love
- Having a parent who controlled you in an unhealthy way
- Emotional abuse
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse including viewing porn, being touched, molested, raped, incest
- Growing up without a father or mother
- Religious abuse or control
- Satanic Ritual Abuse
- Enduring a Jezebel spirit attack
- Being lied about and accused of things that never happened
- Enduring a relationship breakup or divorce
- Automobile or sports accident
- Loss of a job
- Gossip spoken about you
- Having a dream of achieving something not happen
- Death of a child, parent, sibling, relative or spouse you loved
Then if you come into the church at some point in your life and ask Jesus to come into your heart, the demons attached to your various soul wounds will not automatically leave you as they still have legal rights to torment your mind with many negative thoughts reminding you of all the bad things that ever happened to you and all the injustices and hurts. All of our souls have been wounded, some worse than others. Our soul is comprised of our mind (thoughts that come from ourselves, demons or the Lord or Holy Spirit), freewill and emotions. So when we have not truly forgiven a person who has hurt us then the demons will still remind us of all the injustices that they did to us and as long as we still think about them and have any bitterness then the demons have legal rights to continue to torment us and get us angry and cause us fear and anxiety and depression and give us spirits of infirmities and sickness and have thoughts of suicide. Billy Graham once said that 75% of the people who are in the hospitals would not be there if they would just truly forgive.
With our souls still wounded we will trigger and get angry at people who we currently are in close relationships with. We may go off on them for hours every week or give them the silent treatment (passive / aggressive). When we trigger we are showing that we still have unhealed soul wounds that have demons attached to them which will cause us to become a different person (an alternate personality). We will also always struggle with pride when we get hurt in our pasts because the spirit of Leviathan (Job 41:34 – king over all the children of pride) tells us that we cannot trust anyone to protect us and all our decisions are the best so it makes it very hard to trust the Lord because we have to make it happen for it to be done right and we sure cannot trust our spouse or anyone else.
So because of the wounds, demons and pride…most “Christians” are wounded messes who struggle to have peace in their lives. They simply cannot exhibit the fruit of the spirit consistently in their day to day lives due to hearing hundreds and thousands of demonic thoughts every day and will instead exhibit a lot of fruit of their flesh. Unfortunately this process of getting their soul wounds healed, demons delivered and developing the fruit of the spirit may take their entire lifetime, and unfortunately most never see it ever occur since so few of churches or ministries know how to help people with the process.
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
So essentially pride (Leviathan spirit) will tell us that we are “good to go” and don’t need any deliverance at all (plus most churches falsely teach that you can’t be affected by any demons because after all you are a Christian and Satan can’t co-exist in your spirit with the Holy Spirit – but demons can torment our souls in our minds until we take away their legal rights). Unfortunately this is a huge reason why those in the church are a mess and don’t see much fruit of the spirit evident. They have not changed and continually hear demonic spirits telling them they are good and the churches are preaching it. Then those who finally decide that they are tired of struggling and have no peace and want help – will agree to begin the process of pursuing healing and deliverance to finally be able to live a victorious Christian life.
To get to the point where we are delivered takes time as the Holy Spirit reveals things to each person that needs cleansed out of our lives. Many things we have as idols before the Lord such as money, our job, another person, the religious church, our external beauty, exercise, food, impure sexual relations or acts, smoking, drinking, drugs, ungodly music, watching ungodly movies, etc. and until we make the decision to lay each idol down at the altar to give to God so it no longer has a hold on us and we then choose to pursue peace and righteousness and living a holy life then the demons will still have legal rights to torment us due to our freewill of choosing to make those things an idol before the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14-16 NKJV
14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.
Unforgiveness gives the demons legal rights to torment our minds and so many people have bitterness toward those who have hurt them and effectively refuse to totally forgive them.
Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
So many Christians that have said they forgave those who hurt them have not really forgiven them in their hearts. When people think about those who hurt them and still have anger, bitterness or tears from them – then they have not truly forgiven and still have pain in their hearts. That is why it is critical to ask Jesus to show you those who hurt you from His perspective to understand why they did horrible things to you. In every case you will see that those who hurt you were also hurt deeply in their lives and never got delivered from their demons. Hurting people hurt people until they have their wounds healed, forgiven those who hurt them and commanded their demons to go. When you have truly healed you will not have any adverse reactions when you think about those who hurt you.
Therefore it could take people years to truly be honest with themselves and own their own issues, forgive all who have hurt them, and humbled themselves before the Lord to get rid of their pride, and repented for what they have done. The enemy will fight you hard so that you never get your soul wounds healed and unfortunately most church goers will never get delivered and will continue to struggle with bitterness, unforgiveness, pride and demons and not see the fruit of the spirit. Keep in mind that God is not looking at your works that you do because even the Pharisees and Scribes would do works that looked good. God is looking at your heart and mind and to see if you have any fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control). You will know that you have been delivered of most everything of the enemy when you and others see the fruit of the spirit evident in your life. If it took you 20, 30, 40, 50 or more years before you started to pursue deliverance, then it usually will take you a few years to be healed and delivered.
